Spiritual Team

We have a need for a nursery attendant. The council has agreed to make this a paid position; it will pay $20 each week for about 1.5 hrs per week. If you or if you know someone who would be interested, please let a council member know.
We also have middle school students that are working on Souper Bowl of Caring for Super Bowl weekend. Come to church to hear the details. The elementary Sunday school is studying New Testament stories, such as Paul Becomes a Special Disciple and The Great Escape.

Operations Team

The Operations Committee joins the rest of the church in excited anticipation of Charis Caldwell's tenure in 2012.  Charis name will be added soon to our marquee out front, heralding her service to First Presbyterian.  The Cry Room has been tidied up and stands ready for use by the Bieres and any other worshippers who may need a little extra space and seclusion during the service. The loose and cracked tiles in the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms will be addressed. The elevator has been repaired. No more stranding Joan between floors, we hope. Full operating instructions are now posted inside the car.  
Operations Committee's first priority for the new year is updating and  is professionalizing our Pastor's office. It's
badly outdated and new furnishing and equipment are sorely needed.  Bruce Lewis is heading up a collection of items for the time capsule. This will be sealed and inserted into the foundation next to the front steps. Everyone should consider what he or she would like to provide as a message to FPC members 75 years from now, on our 200th anniversary. Please contact Bruce with ideas and contributions.
